ASD/ADHD Parent Support Group
The Parent Support Group usually meets monthly on a Sunday afternoon from 1 – 3 p.m. There is usually a guest speaker on a topic of mutual interest for the first hour, followed by a time for talking about the challenges you are facing as a parent of a kid with these special needs. It’s a time to be with other parents who are going through the same things you do and to learn from one another. Childcare is available by pre-registration during these meetings. Spaces for childcare are limited. This group communicates through a closed Facebook page, Parents of Children with ASD/ADHD of Delco. Check the church calendar for the schedule.
Now Offering: Sibling Support Group
Our ministry with the ASD/ADHD Parent Support Group is growing! For some time, several parents in the group have been asking for a Sibling Support Group that would meet at the same time as the parent group. The sibling group will begin on October 14 with a qualified facilitator. Group will be for a person aged 8-16 who is the sibling of a person on the autism spectrum.
